Drone footage taken of the historic, deadly flooding affecting Houston after torrential rainfall this past week can be difficult to watch. The four-minute video, taken by Houston firm WorkSpace Real Estate, offers an aerial view of some of the damage and devastation the city is facing. Zooming through Houston, viewers see many submerged houses and cars, an entire Kroger parking lot filled with water and many forested areas with only the tops of trees visible.
While the region is expected to dry out this weekend, continued rainfall is forecasted through Thursday and Friday, the Weather Channel reports. Eight people have died in weather-related incidents this week, and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has since declared a state of emergency in nine Texas counties.
